Hiring Muss in '24 is a much better hire than getting Cronin in '19. But we can agree to disagree.
This next season is the one we're either going to use as proof of Cronin's merits as a coach or of his general mediocrity, depending on where we finish the season. Most here are convinced that Mick Cronin -- the guy who has never built a Final Four roster and was very lucky to inherit Jaquez, Juzang and Campbell from Alford -- can immediately content with an entirely new roster. I don't see it happening but will be happy to be proven wrong.
Anyway, Muss has an overall better body of work as a coach, given he hasn't been in the game nearly as long as Cronin.
