for him. They all could have transferred without sitting out. Campbell and Jaquez could both have renegged on their LOIs without penalty.

Moses Brown, Jaylen Hands, and Kris Wilkes went pro. All the other players from 2019 chose to stay and play for Mick Cronin, not because someone forced them to do it but because they wanted to.

Cronin notably didn't bring a single player with him from Cincinati (compare that to Musselman and Calipari this year).

The holdovers you listed, Bernard, Nwuba, Riley, and Singleton, played no more than 13 games under Alford. Riley only played 10, although he did start in 7. Nwuba only played in 8. Not only that, but they were playing for a coach who apparently never ran a defensive drill in his life (even Cronin's worst Bruin teams played much better defense than Alford's best Bruin teams).

The trope that Cronin didn't recruit any of the players on his best teams at UCLA is not only tired, it's plainly and demonstrably wrong.
