The only Cronin teams that have won anything had as their core Jaquez, Campbell, Singleton, and Bernard (all of whom committed to play for Steve Alford at UCLA). Juzang was obviously an important player too, and since he's from Tarzana, it's not surprising he leapt at the chance to transfer to a college so close to home.
So this misleading history of UCLA rosters in the Cronin era is pretty worthless.
When Cronin wins anything of note with a roster that he built himself, we can start giving him the praise that a lot here are eager to bestow upon him.
If he doesn't finish top 3 in the Big 10 next season, I wonder how many here will start seeing him for what he is: an average coach who was UCLA's fourth choice of coach to hire in '19, and who has generally been a mediocre coach for 20+ years.
If Alf
