All this in the context of knowing damn well that even if Democrats gain control over both houses, through some miracle, it is not entirely clear to me there will ever be any substantive change in anything at all. The new Schumer/Jeffries political philosophy will be "why push for changes that the president can veto?".
The Democratic Party is not a serious political entity and it will make absolutely no difference whatsoever if they hold the poweer or not. The first thing they will do if they stumble their way into the power will be to give it back to the Republican Party in some form.
Elections don't mean sh*t in this country if your only alternative is the incredibly compromised and completely hollowed out Democratic Party.
