Let's see here. We elected Reagan over Carter because Carter was way too easy on the Islamic Republic. Then while nobody was looking, Oliver North secretly sold arms to Iran, the very people who held American hostages for 444 days. North was hailed as a hero by the right.

Why doesn't anyone bring that up? Hello, Democrats.

The discussion of the pre-Revolution Iran is incomplete without the Coup of 1953. The discussion of the post-Revolution Iran is incomplete without the Iran-Contra scandal. Neither is garnering much attention. Is it too woke to bring them up?
