If Trump drops the nuke on Iran, there is only one penalty that fits the crime, and that is death. No, not of Trump ... the nation itself that put that man in that position and did not work its damnedest to control his impulses.
What I mean is massive secession of blue states from the union and form an alternative political entity that if not brings the United States down, at least turns it into a political husk.
Form a new union with a better political system that (a) limits the powers of the executive in both foreign and domestic policies, (b) has a more responsive structure that has an easier path to backtrack out of a mistake than wait 4 years for things to miraculously not get out of control, and (c) does more than pay lip service to hold people in power acccountable for their actions. None of that Trump vs United States nonesense.
That's the very least we can do, not to mention the massive amounts of reparations that we need to force the MAGA world to pay.
