We can no longer be a part of a union that sanctions that type of atrocity.
It would be a powerful action that would immediately cut the United States down in size, especially if other Pacific states would join. And I don't think either North Korea or China would have to take any action against us because the United States would be the first to attack us. Plus, I'm sure we have plenty of nuclear weapons on our soil that we can take over.
I don't put anything past Trump or red states or MAGA, including but not limited to them dropping a nuke on us as well. Those people are psychopaths in the real sense of the word.
