1. Joe Biden pledged to put a black woman on the ticket. The leading choices were Barbara Lee, Karen Bass, and Kamala Harris.
2. Kamala Harris was already in the Biden circle, dating to the days when both Kamala Harris and Beau Biden were attorneys general at the same time. For Biden, she was just a comfortable choice.
3. Pelosi wants this; Pelosi wants that. I concede she may be the sharpest mind in the Democratic party, but how does she get to be the boss of
Joe Biden?
4. Biden certainly allowed people to believe he would serve only one term, but I am not aware that he ever said that unequivocally in public. I have no idea what he might have said privately.
