All true but yes, Joe Biden likely wouldn't have been President if not for Nancy Pelosi.

Remember at the time that all happened Bernie Sanders, not Biden, was actually the leading Dem candidate. The problem was the Dems polling was telling them 2 things, Bernie wouldn't beat Trump, and that many people thought Bernie had great ideas but they would never get approved in Congress(which is sad).

So Pelosi and the Dems essentially looked at their polling that said Biden was the guy with the best combination, can beat Trump, and can get his stuff passed. And then Pelosi effectively convinced them to make Biden the candidate. ANd yes Biden wanted Harris and he got her, and as I've said before Harris was my choice for POTUS in 2020, I've liked her for ages. But from what I've read, there were lots of people in the Dem party who thought Whitmer not Harris should be the choice for VP. But they let Biden make the pick and he picked Kamala.

I think she was actually a good VP, I don't think Biden let her do enough, but we know why, he wasn't looking at it as I'm grooming her to be my replacement in 2024, he thought she would replace him in 2028.

The whole thing is unknown but what's been coming out more and more is that Pelosi and Biden had a deal. She would coalesce the party around him, he would beat Trump, and then he would step aside in 2024 and someone else, she wanted Whitmer, would be the candidate. I don't think Biden ever committed to it publicly no, but it's pretty apparent that's what Pelosi thought the deal was.

At this point doesn't matter, survive the next 4 years is all we can do.
