There was a play that preceded the awful throw where he tried to sprint left and the Ravens safety (Hamilton) made up so much ground and buried him. He looked slow. His injury status may have played a role here, but he looked slow vis a vis the D.
DTR just isn’t good enough. He doesn’t have a plus skill. Not great accuracy (being kind) not a good runner, does not have a howitzer and doesn’t seem to hwve the leadership gene either.
He has been given quite a few opportunities and he’s just not NFL level. Of course there is a dearth of capabale QBs so never write one off, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him looking for a new team soon if he wants to continue his career. Although he Browns may have 1 more year of control and it’s never awful to have a low cost QB option in case of injuries.
