Trust me, I understand your take, it actually diminishes the value of my tickets because nobody wants to see Drew Lock (or the Giants). The rub is does a backup QB ever pay off, especially in a salary capped sport? Tom Moore who was Peyton’s OC pretty much his entire career used to say that a backup QB was worthless and never give him reps. If QB1 goes down for any extended period your season is over. He didn’t want to waste cap space on an expensive backup.
Yeah, Nick Foles is an example, but a real outlier. You need a backup that can run QB1s system IMO and just hope he isn’t called upon for anything more than 2 games a year.
Not sure if you’re a Broadway guy, but some houses will refund your ticket (or offer another date) if the standby is performing on the date of your ticket. I think this is less common today than when I used to attend regularly because the industry is in the crapper.
