If I'm on my own, I usually do Option 3.

I take the Metro to the Pasadena Memorial Park station, then walk over to the Parsons shuttle. About halfway between the Metro and Parsons is a Subway sandwich shop where I buy my lunch for the game. Since I live in east L.A. county, I park at the Sierra Madre Villa park-and-ride lot. I think you can park for free there on weekends. Then it's just $5 for the Metro. The walk and shuttle are free.

The shuttle service is pretty efficient, though I would give one warning. At the end of the evening, as the line for the return shuttle forms, the line grows away from the stadium. And grows quickly. In fact it can, at times, grow faster than you can run. It can be a real chase to get to the end of the line. Once you are in line, though, the line does move.

Also, if you use the Metro, for reasons of personal safety, do not wait for approaching trains by standing near the edge of the platform. I don't want to freak anyone out, but once in a blue moon some malicious person will try to shove someone off the platform. If possible, stand where there is some fixed object between you and the edge. This is extremely rare; I've never seen it happen, but it is not unknown.

If I'm not on my own, I just go along with the group. I've learned when I suggest my plan there are just too many objections.
