It's wasn't true that Jarmond or the Admin had put any such restrictions on who Chip could recruit and it's even less true now. All the recruiting restrictions placed upon Chip's staff were put there by Chip himself.

Yes UCLA has some academic requirements that are beyond those of many other schools, but this has always been the case, and yet, previous regimes managed to recruit just fine. The only such restrictions on who the present staff can recruit are the ones being dictated by UCLA paltry NIL pot.
