Inbound the ball quickly after a UConn made basket. Don't let them set up their press. When you do inbound it. Always always inbound it from the left side of the baseline. Their press is designed to push you into the corners. Since all of our players that might bring the ball up are righties, inbound on the left so they can go to their right without being trapped.

They will double the ball, a lot in the backcourt. If they leave the other back court player open, just lob it to her. They often don't have anyone near the person they are doubling off of. If they do put three in the front court, then beat that and you'll get a wide open three. You don't have to rush it, just know that if their pressing with three in the front court, you've got 2 players ready to shoot a three.

If they can't set up their press, they like to pick up pressure immediately after half court. If you see them setting that up, don't dribble over the half court line, pass it over. Don't let yourself get double teamed by the onball defender and the halfcourt line. The minute you hesitate, they'll bring a second defender and you'll be tripled by 2 defenders and the line. It's a core principle of theirs that if the dribbler is near a line, they are going to pressure the hell out of them and double at the first sign of trouble.

Never leave Fudd. She gets wide open so much when people just aren't paying attention to her. Not even on picks. Like, if there is a looseball, Fudd's player has to just stay with Fudd. Let others dive for it. If they run a pick for her, switch with it. A tall player can deny her the three. Never.Leave.Fudd when UConn has the ball. No matter what. Don't leave her going for an defensive rebound if you aren't 1000% sure you're going to get it.

On O, in addition to what I said above, isolate Jacquez or Dugalic at the top of the three and spread the court. Make Strong defend that player. If she lays off, either one can make 3's. If she steps up, drive on her. Use Lauren to pick her. If Williams comes out, back door them.

Put Dugalic and Jacquez on Strong. Strong plays on the perimeter a lot, and cuts to the basket. Pressure her when she has the ball at the top of the basket. She's a great passer, take away her sightlines.

I know, this is all Happy talk. But, at the least, never leave Fudd for any reason, and ffs, don't dribble into corners or dribble over halfcourt under pressure.
