That gives us a 2-11 Quad 1 record and a 17-1 Quad 2-4 record (and the Q2 loss was the 2OT Indiana game). Last season North Carolina made the tournament with a 1-12 Quad 1 record and a 20-1 Quad 2-4 record with a #36 NET.
We are currently a #40 NET. Only four teams have been left out with a higher than #40 NET. Ohio State was left out at #41 NET and had six Quad 1 wins, but was only 3-4 in Quad 2. They ended the year with back-to-back losses against another bubble team in Indiana and a bad first-game exit in the Big Ten Tournament against Iowa. Put those losses together with a blowout home loss against Northwestern and the Buckeyes didn’t finish very strong. We can avoid a similar finish.
Win all three of the Quad 2 and maybe one of the Quad 1 games and we are safely in based on past selections.
