I'm thinking that this massive exodus has alot to do with

Coach Cronin's abrasive coaching style. Especially during this NIL/portal era, it's a lot easier to leave a tough coach behind and go to a more pleasant situation. At some point, the shouting and dress-down get to be too much.

Others have already said it, I also do not like this NIL/portal era. It's like putting a new team each year. Just like streetball. No continuity. At this point, the NBA is a little better, NBA contracts last longer than these recent NCAA stints.
