A note on opening up scholarships

There will no longer be much benefit in players leaving opening up scholarships under proposed new NCAA rules taking effect in 2025-26. The NCAA is expected to shift from scholarship limits to roster limits in Division I sports, allowing schools to offer scholarships to every athlete on their roster if they choose and the roster limit for Men's Basketball will be 15. So no longer do we need to be worried about whether we have enough scholarships for potential recruits and transfers.
