That first Final 4 v. Florida (and the rematch), it was obvious to me that with 2 great passing bigs on Florida, the Big-to-big post double-team Howland ran the whole time at UCLA was going to get chewed up and spit out, and that we had to man up on their bigs. Hollins was playing so well that year that I felt we could easily do it.
But, never happened, and Joakim Noah became the star of that Final 4, and Horford went on to a fantastic career. (Hollins had a solid NBA career too). Then we repeated that mistake again the next year, but Mata and Luc fouled out quickly.
