past the midway in the course, the Bruins continue to lead Oregon 3-1-1. Moreover , the three matches UCLA leads we lead by 6 holes (Canales), 2 holes and 2 holes.
The one match we trail is Campos whose overall record in match play representing UCLA is 9 wins, 0 losses, 1 tie. She trails by 4 holes at the turnaround. But she is playing Oregon's freshman star Romero so not an easy turnaround for her.
Bruins have to hang on to make the Championship match tomorrow.
As fortune has it, the two top teams in the country - SC and Stanford - are playing one another for the other spot in the finals. Stanford leads that one 3-2 (one situation in which I'm actually pulling for the other LA team)
