Terry: one hit, 78 pitches, fourth consecutive complete
game vs. ASU. Poor saps.
Anyone who followed this team in February knows how
far it has come, not even ranked in the Top 25. Terry
and Tinsley were getting behind all the time, and the offense
couldn't bail them out.
Then, with both Terry and Tinsley, the team did a complete
turn around. It should be noted that the Bruins' earlier losses
were out of league against some of the top teams in the country.
The team was at its best when Terry and Tinsley were a one-
two punch, sometimes in the same game - Terry would start,
falter, and Tinsley would enter and save the game.
Relying on a single pitcher through the Pac-12 tournament is one
thing and another in the big tournament.
I've searched for an explanation about Tinsley's absence - and have
found nothing, only that she may have tendonitis in her pitching
arm; if true, it may be "Wait until next year."
Sure could use her.
