The thing is it's not just the Dunning Kruger crowd. I ran into a guy online yesterday who per his FB page is in his 60's has been a lawyer and a tax professional his whole life. Obviously smart, and he spent multiple posts arguing with me that Trump didn't break any laws, didn't try to steal the election, it's lawfare, etc. He won't answer who won the 2020 election. When I asked him if Trump stole classified documents and refused to return them he said Biden stole documents when he wasn't president and got away with it because he's old.
When I asked him how he ethically can endorse someone like Trump he asked why it should be an ethical question.
There's MILLIONS of people like him too, intelligent, educated, and just willing to ignore everything that's wrong about Trump because he has an R next to his name
