I have watched several TV legal analysts be puzzled by the legal reasoning behing two SCOTUS decisions yesterday. It is fine for Trump to fire the head of the Federal Trade Commission, but he can't fire the Chairman of the Federal Reserve. What in the Consitution allows one, but not the other.

The answer isn't legal. It is economic. For all the discussion of the Supreme Court's position on Presidential power, they are missing the real nature of the court. It is MASSIVELY pro-big-business. They will always take the side of business over ordinary people.

Do the billionaires want Trump to put people they can trust into the FTC and other federal watchdog agencies? Of course they do. And they can pay Trump to insure he puts their people into those agencies. They want to turn the watchdogs into lapdogs.

Do the billionaires want Trump to put his own crazy people in charge of the Federal Reserve? No way. They want a stable, well-managed economy. They don't want an economy like Turkey or Turkiye, where the central bank acts at the whim of Erdogan.

SCOTUS is bought and paid for by billionaires and big business. When you look at their decisions, don't think about legal theories. Think about what Alphabet, Exxon, and Elon Musk want.
