Christianity symbolizes conservatism and trad wife values. Thus, the biggest pimps of Christianity are conservative politicians.
That's one of the points made in the video I linked.
Another aspect that is fueling the "growth" of Christianity is brand management. Christianity is perceived as a positive label to have. So people are calling themselves "cultural Christians" because they celebrate Christmas. But they don't believe any of the theology.
