Schnellenberger wasn't handed a 9-3 dumpster fire. Chesney's been handed a lot longer ladder to climb.
I think Chesney's going to be a great coach for UCLA. I expect steady improvement. My view is steady improvement makes success durable.
And what I can foresee, that apparently you cannot, is that improving by two games a year puts us into the title conversation in 4 years.
That's a trajectory that most here would gladly accept.
