Darnold was awful with awful coaching in NY and Car. It wasn't until he went to the Niners that he really learned to play the NFL game competently. he didn't get a lot of run, but IMHO, that year at SF is the only reason he became a reliable starting QB in the NFL.

I thought when Rosen went to the Niners that might happen too, but it didn't.

It sure seems to have worked for Mac Jones too this past year.
