I'd absolutely be in favor of that. Makes no sense for the soccer teams to be flying across the country for conference matches. It would be great if we could petition the B10 to let our negative cash-flow sports out. Play in the NewPac, or any other western regional conference.

And, I've said this before, but for football I'd structure the schedule so that the east and west coast teams don't play each other. No reason for UCLA, sc, UW, Ore and PSU, Rutgers, Maryland to be traveling across the country for conference games. No one would ever notice if those teams never played each other unless they happened to meet in the Conf championship game. Why are we flying to Maryland next season instead of Washington. Would anyone care if those opponents were switched? Who would complain?

And, there should only be one opposite coast trip per season for the basketball teams.

But, your suggestion would be much more impactful. And, it's just a matter of common sense.
