Think Belechick and Brady or Bill Walsh and Montana. In their systems things worked really great. In another pairing, not as effective. In all cases, you need a OL to make any offense happen. UCLA has been spotty in the OL for many years. Some years we are good and the offense hums, other years the QB is running for their lives every play. I still think UCLA never had an OL that could consistently pass block for a dropback QB like Dante Moore. We've done much better with more dual threat QBs who can operate with less talent up front. Think Brent Hundley, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Ethan Garbers, and Nico.
