I rarely know anyone anymore. I"m wondering if his presence came more in the first half. I did see Ucla made a change on the OL at halftime and the offense looked dramatically different. May have been injury related, but whatever they did, sure was an improvement and gave me a bit of hope.
Sidenote, one reason why I bring up Odom is I see a lot of similarities in UNLV football prior to Ucla's situation. Not much winning, attendance issues, and competing against an NFL team. One thing Odom did that I really liked was he was constantly on any media trying to drum up fan support. Wasn't overnight, but just always kept with it. Then you would take notice that hey this team is winning some games. Eventually there would be a bit of a buzz and Odom would constantly thank fans in press conferences. Mullen did that first thing in his press conference I saw.
I really tried with Chip Kelly and supported him until he left. I'm still not happy with the way he left and the timing of it. My perception with Kelly when he was HC was just off-putting with the media and just really couldn't sell the program. With LA and Vegas with so much entertainment, you just have to have something unique or dynamic and you have to produce.
