Not so much about how great Mullen is. We’ll see how Mullen does. He’s been out of the game a while, which was my biggest complaint about Chip. That said, it’s my understanding that there was a bunch of roster churn between Odom and Mullen.

And I would have been quite happy. When we have hfc coaching vacancies, I always say “just hire someone that is currently demonstrating competency as a head football coach. We haven’t hired a hfc away from another program in over (currently) over 50 years.”

I’d have been elated that UCLA broke that streak.

Anyway, what position did Patterson play and how did he look?
