The CFP was huge for making MANY MANY more important games in November than previously. Games like Clemson/SC, Tenn/Vandy, Miami/Syracuse, ASU/BYU, etc were irrelevant last year, but were huge this year.

The other thing is that of the 12 playoff teams, NONE had NFL opt-outs, as compared to Ohio St's WR corps opting out of the Rose Bowl a couple of years ago or FSU's undefeated team last year both opting out and not even showing up in their bowl game.

The CFP made both many more November games relevant, as well as many more Bowl games.

I do think the transfer window will be pushed until after at least the first round of playoff games, if not until after the NYD games, tho that does make it a lot harder to coordinate with the start of classes in January for many schools.
