What happened in his interview w/ Jarmond?

I can't quite believe that Jarmond just grabbed him because he came cheap and would prevent a flood of transfers.

He must've demonstrated *something* in that interview for Jarmond to say "that's our guy." And for the Chancellor to sign off on it.

There was genuine excitement among the players when he was announced, and that was the team that came off of a win against 'SC and a bowl game (as well as a horrific loss to Cal.) And there's no question he was successful developing Rb's during his time here.

Did he have some charisma as a position coach that isn't translating?

Nothing adds up here.
