UCLA not acting decisively and Chip taking so long to find someone willing to hire him put a whole lot of potential candidates out of the market (whether or not we could have resisted the allure of hiring yet another HC based on his enthusiasm for and connections with UCLA as opposed to boring things like, you know, actual qualifications for the head coaching job)
