Cops have a right to control a traffic stop, for their safety. A driver does not. You don't get to refuse a lawful order to roll your window down.

As soon as you start being angry/evasive and try to conceal the interior of your car, you're putting a lot of thoughts in the cop's mind. After you refuse a lawful order, you are subject to arrest. It's that simple.

People do this kind of thing all the time. They're mad they got pulled over, they don't comply with routine lawful orders, and they get arrested.

I think the cop could have handled it better. Once he had the door open and knew he had 2 other cops with him, I don't think there was a need for such a rough takedown. There did not appear to be any physical resistance.

But Hill definitely did do something wrong.
