It's not elite. The adjustment you make to starting salary for graduates is important, but even then that number is just average nationally. Not elite.
Having been through UC and Ucla specifically, I can assure you that salary number is a cherry picked guesstimate, at best, and an outright anal extraction at worst.
Fake data.
Patents is a factoid. Not at all related to the quality of the school. It speaks more toward the aggressiveness of the school in filing patents, not in the quality of education provided.
The Nobel laureates are nearly all imports. Nearly all of them won the award elsewhere and then sold their resume to Ucla for security and big dollars. Pure BS. Besides, the Nobel is mostly political crap.
Convince me you're elite by building a football powerhouse. If you can't (and they can't) then you're mediocre. Do the hard things. If you do, I'll consider you great. Collecting public money rents is easy and leisurely, not a sign of greatness.
