The UC system is #1 in US patents awarded to universities almost every year. UCLA produces many, if not most, of those.
And UCLA is #42 worldwide with 15 Nobel winners among faculty and graduates.
And Forbes lists early career salary for UCLA grads at $70K, making that $40K claim pretty dubious.
UCLA IS elite. IYKYK. Any claim to the contrary is just noise.
