Back when Madden was the Head Coach of the Raiders for Al Davis, they used to argue about the most important position group.

Davis was Davis and favored the CB's
Madden was Madden and favored the OL.

The interesting thing was that they each thought the other group was #2, so it wasn't a major conflict.

I think in College, it's definitely OL. A good to dominant OL will do wonders in making bad QB's/WR's and RB's look good.

I think it applies in the pass-happy nfl now too.

So, while all the talking heads talk skill players, it's the OL that matters.

And we saw that in the FSU/GT game Saturday, again. FSU looked like world beaters on their first drive, with 7 carries for 58 yards.

GT fixed their issues, and FSU got 40 yards on 24 carries the rest of the game (and that wasn't college sacks dragging them down, that was just bad OL play, with a new QB who can play, but not win games on his own). DJU did alright, and had one great drive even when the running game kept leaving him in 3rd/4th and long.
