I think these first 2 games will tell us a LOT about Foster/EB/Malloe.
I think we'll do a lot better than people think, but if we start 1-1, it's going to be a REALLY long year, and possibly career - especially if we see mistakes in the hawai'i game which persist in the Indiana game after an additional 2 weeks of practice to fix them.
Also, if we start 1-1, those 2-10 predictions start looking pretty accurate, and I could see Foster losing all the good things he has done recruiting, etc thus far, with lots of folks transferring out/decomitting.
However, I do think we'll do a lot better than that, and I do think we'll be 2-0 going into the 3 game stretch, and I think we may even win one of those 3, and if Foster/EB/Malloe can do that, we're going to be in really good shape.
the talking heads/pundits seem to be thinking that Kelly/Lynn/Latu was the sum total of UCLA the past couple of years, rather than seeing 8.5 wins per year, and a pretty solid drubbing of Boise St (one of the G5 favorites) once Garbers came in, and that was done without Latu and Lynn.
