It’s very hard to compare costs of tickets because there are so many opaque fees. For example if one just looks at the face value of a random Giants value of a ticket it doesn’t account for the PSL that is required or the 1 or 2 preseason games you can give away. Also, these special games like the SC-LSU games are tagged with special pricing because the cost of production is so much higher than a normal game.
If you’re buying on the secondary market you’re paying too many fees. The stub hubs and ticket masters and vivid seats of the world suck Azz, although convenient.
I’m sure the people at the Rose Bowl who are paying the UCLA tax (WAF or whatever they call it now) aren’t thrilled. Also, comparing the Rose Bowl to a modern stadium is nuts. The amenities and food service is apples to oranges. Now, those things don’t sway me much, but they are key to wives and casuals. We know UCLA is filled with casuals.
