And then Ucla got its ass kicked by whiskey in the Rose Bowl. Just a massive choke down the stretch. And Ucla has never been the same. In the offseason...handicap parking scandal. JP Losman leaves the team after 1 or 2 spring practices. (I've never heard the reason why.)
To start 1999 season, Ucla gets decimated by Ohio state on national TV. Again, Ucla gives up massive rushing yardage. Finishes 4-7 and loses to sc, ending an 8-game winning streak.
Just a massive choke job. Ucla was on the verge of summitting mount everest, and just fell apart. Weak.
