and now a new school - Villanova - is mentioned.
I find it amusing and ridiculous how deep into the minutiae all these guys go - banding about to and fro any tidbit of what they hope are promising and significant bits of stuff. Until now I have not been aware of this sub-culture of basement inhabitants. It just goes on and on. And there seems to be a lot of them.
One thing that is striking to me is just how comfortable some of these guys are in denigrating Cronin. They never say why, they just all seem to be in on the inside of that joke - a wink and a nod. Cronin is not completely my cup of tea, but by any measure, Cronin is a good coach. His players are loyal to him and seem to like playing for him. He develops players. His teams compete. For the most part he has the best interests of his players at heart - Steven Jamerson not withstanding. Cronin is flawed, but show me anyone (coach or not) who isn't. I've known cynical "know-it-alls" like these blog guys before who think they are clever and smart but really just come across as immature, ignorant and foolish.
Anyway, here's another take on the Nikola Kusturica saga. Hopefully all of this, no matter how it plays out, will be over soon. I do hope he comes to UCLA, but we'll have to wait and see on that.
