He awkardly avoided negative comment about Cronin. And he didn't say anything positive about Cronin. Playing time was a big factor -- he said that he was apprehensive about what May told him about playing time because of his Cronin experience. In my view it was a huge misjudgement by Cronin to not realize the defensive impact that Mara was providing after midseason, especially considering that Cronin had no center -- he was playing a defensively weak PF at center. Cronin has been stubbornly biased against playing true big centers his whole career. Maybe he has learned from his mistakes and will actually land a true center this yr.
