...in men's CBB.
That's the standard I expect at Ucla. With a RS schedule that has plenty of creampuffs, plenty of B10 tourney games, and then up to 6 NCAA tourney games, Ucla should be one of those 8 to 10 teams every year.
We think Ucla is a top 10 bball program, correct? Then we should win at that level.
That said, it's telling that Mick has only won 30+ games at Ucla one time out of seven.
Next year is going to be a total crapshoot. He's looking at a total roster rebuild. He's not very successful at that. In fact, he's looking at a total roster rebuild every year, given that we're now in the TP era. Again, he's not very good at taking a bunch of guys who've never played together before and getting them out of the gate fast. All the early season losing has these effects:
1. fans turned off, attendance at Pauley is anemic
2. Mick acts like a d!ck, alienating fans, donors, players and recruits
3. Recruits look elsewhere
4. Current players make internal decision to hit the TP
5. Donors pull back on NIL donations
It's one big downward spiral
