... doing all of the mathematics that might lead to
the tournament, knowing that this team is not the
"First Four to the Final Four bunch" and that even a
first round game could be a disappointment?
Maybe there are good reasons to hope the Bruins
make it in that I'm not seeing ... recruiting? (unlikely).
As a life-long (I'm 78; Bruin for 66) UCLA Bruin, I have
seen just about everything across all sports - basketball,
football, track (remember when UCLA was good?),
swimming (remember when UCLA was good?), on
and on.
This team does not have IT. The women's basketball
team has IT. You can see the way they move the ball
around and black widow spider their opponents.
UCLA lost to a team (Indiana) that turned around and
lost to usc.
Now, if the Bruins upend Michigan, I may think differently.
