I agree. This was an issue last year when we got pushed around by guys like TKR, and it’s been a concern all season. To be fair, I do think the rebounding has improved slightly as the year has gone on. While we don’t have a true beast inside, both Dailey and Bilodeau have shown flashes. That said, we still can’t handle a physical big, which showed again when we gave up a season-high 24 to Bailey from Indiana.
That’s really the difference between being a good team and where we are now. We just can’t get stops, and even when we do, too often it ends with an offensive rebound and an easy put-back.
We also haven’t really beaten a quality team outside of Purdue, and I’d argue that had more to do with their bigs not playing up to their usual level—especially TKR, who looks like he may be dealing with a rough stretch, possibly injury-related.
