At the time, we were only down by 1 point, 67-66. We didn't need a 3-pointer. So if Purdue had switched and covered Tyler, then Dent could have driven or passed to someone inside. It didn't have to be another 3-point opportunity. Yes, I realize that, with a few seconds left, whether we scored a 2 or a 3 mattered IF Purdue was able to come down and get off a good shot. If we scored a 2, then they could win the game with a 2 of their own. As it was, they still could have tied the game and forced overtime with a made 2. Either way, our defense had to be prepared for them to go for a 2 or a 3.
