That approach is not likely to change very much.
What do you think Cain's success rate would be doing those other things she wants to do? Lauren's success rate was as high as it gets in WCB - top three anyway. Were I the coach and had Lauren Betts on my team, my offense would absolutely, most definitely, run through getting the ball to Lauren in the paint and if no shot were available passing out to open teammates for whom option one would be taking the open three on a catch and shoot.
Next high percentage is working the ball around looking for the mismatch or open late or look with Rice and Gardiner my top choices.for taking the shot, Jaquez next, then Dugalic who knows when she's hot or not and if the latter, focuses on getting assists by setting up her teammates. Next season add Leger-Walker to that list alongside Rice. And a wing or guard to be named later.
