According to Ben Bolch in an interview on the Petros and Money show (570 radio) on Monday, he expects Mara to secure a seven-figure deal next year. When asked about UCLA’s standing in the NIL landscape, Bolch stated that Cronin has done an exceptional job raising funds, referring to his current resources as a "warchest." He believes Cronin will use that funding to compete for Mara while also targeting a proven point guard with a similar seven-figure offer.
This could explain the rumors surrounding Perry—if he’s aware of UCLA’s plans, he may not want to risk playing behind another player. Likewise, if DA stays, it’s likely because he understands he’ll be taking on a bench role as well.
From what I gathered, while UCLA may not be offering the absolute highest NIL deals, we’re still in a position to compete with top-tier programs.
I’ve linked the podcast, though I’m unsure about access. I listened to it on the iHeart app on my phone, but this link comes from a different source.
