but that seems to be what the board has turned to right now. In all honesty, I have to agree with many here who proclaim that our O is sucky…this year is really not much different from last year … we go for long periods of time without being able to score. Soooo, we are playing reduced minutes of an effective O game which is hurting us. We need to have some go to plays that can get a score when we are in a drought…and we have none. During years past, our secret play was get it to JJJ….;-). We do have a fairly good play, eg our out of bounds play for Laz, but that is just not enough.
I have no idea who CMC is talking about as being delusional or what he means when he says the solution is only play the guys who want to play. Who are those guys? I would guess that one is ED, maybe T-Bill (but he can be soft…see him get backed down twice and dunked on … Golden then screams like an idiot, mugs and sturts around with no reaction…perhaps that is what CMC was talking about when he mentioned them taking your manhood.)
Not knowing who the guys are “who want to play”, I can only guess at a shake-up…but I may go really big (ha,ha) with E.D. , Lyle, T-Bil, Kobe, Laz and Skyy. I would also try a Mel Counts O (for the older guys) with E.D. or Mara at the ft line and our guards cutting to the hoop…both guys can hit the 15 footer and both can pass.
All that being said, a few things are certain … DA needs to sit until he can find his aggression again, you have to give Harris a chance to find his 3 because once he does it will make a world of difference (but I don’t know if he is a delusional one or not)…Trent needs to be given more run as his upside is much higher than either Skyy or DA. (Again is he delusional or one who wants to play?)
I don’t envy CMC as his job is quickly getting to be on the line…he needs to make changes (NOW) but he cannot afford to lose to many more games. It will be interesting to see what he comes up with half way through the season,
