Elements such as continuity, longevity in playing together, none of this getting together a month before a top-tier international tournament…. great player selection at every position, plus your usual Swiss-army-knife/can do several things-type players, great coaching...

How long have these previous teams played together? If they stuck together as long as the Redeemed Team leading into top-tier international play and still lost, I’ll be shock. But if you have the data, let’s look at it.

I’m also thinking that the other countries would have the same core of players they have in this tournament in the future. If USA can beat them at 17 by 50 points, how will they ever catch up? Unless some real great player joins the team later on after U17.
