the wedding was at a beautiful location up in the piñon pine forested hills in the East Mountain area - lots of family and friends and filled with joy - with the possible exception of the Bruins' table. We did indeed get the telecast of the football game and kind of wished we hadn't. It was great to see the pageantry and those uniforms but when it came to actually playing the game ... well, no so much. We didn't while our opponent actually did - there was a pretty obvious talent difference and Indiana went out and hired the very experience and always - at every level - highly successful HC from James Madison who hired a very experienced staff he knew. Would be a lesson for us but UCLA always seems to go out looking for the most experienced former UCLA player they can find rather than the best HC they can find. At least in football. (At least in Volleyball and Water Polo and Softball those two categories may actually be one and the same).
But at least I had a couple other Bruins to share in the frustration while we were watching and the event was terrific!
